Chai Recipe (Ginger & Cardamom Tea)

It is a traditional Indian tea that is consumed in the morning and occasionally in the evening. It is easy to make and is created with simple components like tea leaves, milk, sugar, cardamom, and ginger that you can get in any grocery store. In this blog I will share how to make Chai at home.

Ingredients

~ 150 ml of water

~ 1.5 tbsp crushed ginger

~ 2 tbsp tea leaves (chai patti)

~ 450 ml milk

~ 3 cardamom 

~ 3- 4 tbsp sugar

Process:

 ~ Add 150 ml of water in pot followed by crushed ginger

~ Let it boil till half of the water evaporates

~ Then add tea leaves followed by 450 ml of milk, cardamom and sugar

~ Bring it to boil, then turn down the heat and let it simmer for a while 

~ Do this 3 times until you get a nice brown color
